Creative Conversations Event

ELAN (Emerging Leaders in the Arts Network) is hosting a creative conversation on October 19th from 6 – 8pm downtown at the Oregon Supported Living Program’s Red House (263 W. 13th).  We were asked to speak at the event but unfortunately can not make it.  It should be an interesting discussion and everyone should attend!  Some info from their facebook event page:

Creative Conversations: Re-imagining Eugene – What the Arts Do for Downtown!

Come join the dialogue as we re-imagine Eugene’s downtown space, and the role of the creative economy in fostering local identity and urban vibrancy.

Panelists in the fields of architecture, cultural affairs, business, tourism & art will share their unique perspectives on views of this hot topic.

Let’s celebrate Eugene’s 150th Birthday by discussing how our downtown can benefit from our cultural assets!

Every October, in honor of National Arts & Humanities Month, Americans for the Arts partners with emerging leaders from across the country to host Creative Conversations. Creative Conversations are local gatherings of emerging leaders in communities across the country and are part of a grassroots movement to elevate the profile of arts in America.
